Mario Chalmers was born on May 16, 1986 in Anchorage, Alaska and is 1m 88cm tall. He started playing basketball at Bartlett High School in his hometown and graduated from Kansas College, where in his final year he won the NCAA Championship and was named Final-4 MVP.

On July 8, 2008, he signed his first professional contract with the Miami Heat, with whom he played in 623 NBA games until 2015. “Super Mario” won two consecutive NBA Championships (2012, 2013), while in 2011 and 2014 was a finalist. In November 2015 he played for the Memphis Grizzlies.

On March 3, 2019, he signed with Virtus Bologna, which he helped win the Basketball Champions League. In 6 games, Chalmers averaged 7.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
